Begin Again

Begin Again came about in the middle of a corona crazed world. Studio time was booked, songs were thoroughly rehearsed and everyone was excited to start recording our first album. Then disaster struck and Belgium went into lockdown. The dream of a first album seemed shattered that year.

With lockdowns continuing and no clear end in sight, Hanne and Toon refused to let this stop their dream. They built their own studio in Toon’s grandmother’s attic and took matters into their own hands. During this period, the duo wrote an entirely new album, resulting in "Begin Again."

"Begin Again" tells many stories, all clearly influenced by the turbulent times in which it was created. The album features songs about self-doubt, self-exploration, falling down and getting back up. It's about losing loved ones, feeling the thrill of life, running away, and finding courage.

The album not only showcases Bearfeet but also includes contributions from many of their close musician friends. "Begin Again" forged numerous personal connections during a time when making such connections was especially challenging.
